The Journey called Life

Life is not a destination but a journey.

Best week in months
[info]lawsonlks

From last week, life started to get more interesting and better.

Had videography trainings, shoots, and today training for the APEC Summit.

The best happening was, returning back to Serangoon Avenue 2.  Been packing and returned to Serangoon on Wednesday.

Although returning home, I am not totally happy, as my mum is not with me.  Well, life can never be perfect right?

Tuesday was a great day for me.  Helped out my mentor with shoot, which featured a recording of a speech by reading from the telepromter.  After which had the rare opportunity of helping out at an CNBC shoot, the staff in charge, was very kind with her words.

After the shoot ended it was late evening, about 8pm plus (or later, forgot the time).  Rushed down to Hougang to meet Minister George Yeo.  Had trouble finding the venue where he was at, but I managed to find it and had a great conversation with Mr Yeo.  We met before at TP during a student dialogue.  I was touched by Mr Yeo's empathy, and the kindness of his staff.

It was a great day!  And, a good week so far.  Thanks be with God.

Me at the Singapore Flyer for the first time!!...  :)

Love being in video production!  :)

PS:  I want to thank everyone for the Love!!  Your words kept me going!

Hoping for many more days like this.

The day started off by waking up and rushing to Temasek Poly (TP) for camera training.  I was blur, got the time wrong, cab down and reached at 1pm when the actual timing of the training was at 2pm!!...

Enjoyed the training, thankful to the experience staff.  Looking forward to my cca, TP Cliquers.

After the training went for a meal with, Leo and Edmond.

When I got back home, I was pleasantly surprised that I have been selected as a APEC Volunteer!!  :)

And lastly, I'm happy and honored to be featured on a CNA programme regarding religion.  Going to the mosque was an eye opener for me, and I look forward to visiting the mosque again.  Thank you to my friend, Khairuddin for sharing insights of Islam.

Not forgetting, I'm so proud of my junior Syltra, hope she will be a catalyst and champion for dreams, all the best to her in "Singapore Idol".

I had a happy day!

Positive Thinking
[info]lawsonlks

After speaking to a couple of people about my problems and feelings, I have come to a conclusion that there is no doubt those feelings will ever go away anytime soon or will I be able to ignore them completely.

The only thing I can possibly do to help myself is, to think positively.

To counter all negative feelings or thoughts with something positive.  :)

I WANT TO BE A POSITIVE THINKER!!!

Tribute to Teachers & day out with Friends

Happy Teachers Day!!
Thankful to the teachers for all their love and guidance.

Went to Balestier Hill Secondary school in the morning, sadly the guard did not allow me in as the teachers were having lessons.  And if I wanted to go in, I will have to come back at about 11+ to 12pm.  I was at Balestier Hill at about 9am.

So I headed to Bishan, visited my teachers at ITE and met my friends, Andrea, Denise, Damian, Edeline, Haru, Khairee.

After wishing the teachers, Andrea, Denise, Edeline, Khairee and myself went to be students at ITE again.  We went to join in Ms Ema's remedial lesson for our juniors.  I certainly miss being in Ms Ema's classroom.

And for the rest of the day, we went to the Bugis area to have lunch and shop (for the girls, not me.  LOL).

Thanks for such a nice day my friends!!  :)

Love, a strength or weakness?
[info]lawsonlks
Love can give strength to empower hope for an individual's dreams and goals.

I never knew that until I said goodbye to my step-father who I always saw as my own father.

From the time I knew my step-father or LauPa as I address him as, we have been on a journey together, one of many emotions.
Despite our differences and arguments we were still able to come together on a common ground that we are humans and are not perfect.

Years have passed since I knew him during a time I was uncertain of my future, when preparing and sitting for my N Levels, and going to ITE and now Temasek Polytechnic.

I never realised that he has been a pillar of love and support, until now.  So the saying is true, "you won't know what you lost until you have lost it".

I miss him.  Life without him seems very different, and I too feel that I am no longer the Lawson I myself know..

Decisions our parents make really has a greater impact on us....
How I wish my parents did not make that decision.

Opening Entry

I start a fresh by writing here, with a promise to myself to forget the negativity's of the past and be hopeful in the present for a better future.

This journal or online blog will be a platform for me to stay in touch with friends, write about daily happenings and reminisce on memorable moments.

It's a New Day!

Warmest regards,
Lawson
